Terrence Malick’s seventh feature takes its title from the Tarot card depicting a romantic adventurer guided by his emotions. Rick (Christian Bale) is a writer indulging in all the desires that Las Vegas and Los Angeles have to offer. Feeling disenchanted with his relationship with his father and brother, he undertakes a search for love and self that leads him on a series of adventures with six different women. Knight of Cups offers both a vision of modern life and an intensely personal experience of memory, family and love.
