Jack & John Sutherland – Stars, Cars & Crystal Meth
Jack Sutherland has led a truly remarkable life. A confirmed alcoholic in his early teens, by his twenties he was PA and bodyguard to the likes of Michael Stipe, Ru Paul and Mickey Rourke. His work exposed him to many lethal addictions; marijuana, ecstasy and perhaps most damaging of all crystal meth. On the verge of death and weighing only nine stone, Jack is saved by his father, one of the literary world’s most esteemed personalities – John Sutherland, Professor of English at UCL, and a former Chair of the Man Booker Prize. Join father and son as they discuss this extraordinary book with grim but ultimately inspiring honesty.
