Don Siegel’s classic 1956 adaptation of Jack Finney’s novel The Body Snatchers remains one of the most chilling and powerful depictions of alien invasion, and has been remade and remodeled countless times over the years. Focusing on small-town doctor Miles Bennell (Kevin McCarthy), who slowly discovers that emotionless alien duplicates are replacing the population, the film remains an essential science fiction masterpiece.
