Saramago presents Heartworn Highways, the classic 1981 documentary film exploring the origins of Country music’s 1970s new wave. The film features Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark, David Allan Coe and Charlie Daniels, as well as the first known recordings of Grammy award winners Steve Earle and Rodney Crowell.
After the show Chad Yates (Jacob Yates and the Pearly Gate Lockpickes) and Jnr Crawford (El Rancho Records) will be playing outlaw country and rock ‘n’ roll records til late in the Terrace bar. The Saramago kitchen will be putting on a big pot of chilli for the night, which will be served after the film. Bottles of Lonestar and Tapatio tequilla served all night.
