In Between, GFT 23 – 27 September, 2017

This elegant and sensitive story of three Palestinian women trying to find their way in Tel Aviv is a beautifully acted film on the pressures of living in a patriarchal society. Lalia and Salma fill their free time with dancing, drinking and DJing, but feel their style is cramped when quiet and studious Nur comes to stay with them. Each of them is looking for love but finding a relationship on their own terms in Palestine is difficult. However, it’s this common ground that brings them together in this tour-de-force debut feature.
