French Film Festival GFT 2019

Continues until 11 November, 2019
Welcome to the 27th edition of the French Film Festival, the UK’s only festival embracing French and Francophone cinema in all its diversity. We are delighted to be screening some of the most exciting new films from across the Channel, including Cannes award-winners On a Magical Night and Portrait of a Lady on Fire, as well as Bruno Dumont’s heavy metal musical about the life of Joan of Arc and Zabou Breitman and Éléa Gobbé-Mévellec’s beautifully animated tale of life in Afghanistan under Taliban control, The Swallows of Kabul. Much-loved Swiss classic The Salamander returns to the big screen, whilst documentaries Delphine and Carole and Gaultier – Freak & Chic explore central figures who have been instrumental in shaping French culture.
