Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool, GFT

Based on the moving true-life story, Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool chronicles the vibrant affair between legendary Oscar-winning Hollywood star Gloria Grahame (Annette Bening) and her young lover, aspiring young actor Peter Turner (Jamie Bell). Their romance quickly grows into a deeper relationship, with Peter being the one person Gloria allows herself to turn to for comfort and strength. With stunning central performances, plus a superb supporting cast, Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool is an endearing stranger-than-fiction love story.
The screening on Mon 27 Nov (18.05) will be introduced by Alistair Harkness as part of the Contemporary Cinema Course
