‘Digging in Another Time: Derek Jarman’s Modern Nature’
Until 4 May, 2025
Hunterian Art Gallery, University of Glasgow, 82 Hillhead St, Glasgow G12 8QQ
Our new contemporary art exhibition ‘Digging in Another Time: Derek Jarman’s Modern Nature’ is now open at the Hunterian Art Gallery and we can’t wait for you to see it!
The exhibition features works from across Jarman’s career, focusing on the last five years of his life in particular, and is inspired by his diary entries from this time. The exhibition is built around a new display of paintings and other works by Jarman, largely loaned from his estate.
It is the first major exhibition of Jarman in Scotland since 1992 and is open at the Hunterian Art Gallery until 4 May 2025.
