My Cousin Rachel, GFT, 9 – 22 June, 2017

Based on the Daphne du Maurier novel, this eerie period drama from Roger Michell (Persuasion, Notting Hill) is the inspiration for our du Maurier season this month. When Phillip (Sam Claflin) hears of his cousin Ambrose’s death from an apparent brain tumour, he believes Ambrose’s strange wife Rachel is to blame and determines to find out what really happened. However, when Rachel and Phillip begin to spend time together he finds himself captivated by the beguiling presence of the enigmatic widow.
