Clothing Repair Workshop – Stitch It!
Wednesday, November 13, 2024, 1 p.m. – 3.30 p.m.
Boyd Orr Building, University of Glasgow,University Avenue Glasgow G12 8QW
Have you ever wanted to learn to sew? Then come along to the free workshop at the Eco-Hub and leave with a skill for life! The workshop is beginner friendly and will help you get more wear out of your favourite clothes and save your money! This week will focus on stitching and creative embroidery for embellishing and decorating clothing. This will all be done through hand sewing.
Bring along your own item to mend or decorate and by the end of the workshop, come away with a repaired garment and a sense of achievement! If you don’t have an item, there will be fabric samples on hand that you can use to practice techniques. See example below of the kinds of stitching you can learn at this workshop.

All supplies are included in the workshop, no experience is needed, just enthusiasm and willingness to learn! Tea and Coffee will be available to purchase on the day for 50p a cup.
