Experience the genius and chaos of one of world cinema’s greatest provocateurs, Lars Von Trier, again on the big screen at GFT. From Breaking the Waves, newly restored in 4K, to essential classics Dancer in the Dark and Melancholia (both screening on 35mm), alongside the fascinating documentary The Five Obstructions and new restorations of Dogville, The Idiots (both in 4K) and Antichrist.

The season kicks off this Friday 4 August with dark psychological drama Breaking the Waves, accompanied by ‘Musings on Lars von Trier’  — a 5 minute video essay by filmmaker Ari Aster (Midsommar, Beau Is Afraid). Screening until Thursday 10 August.
