The Children’s Garden
Hillhead Children’s Garden is in The Botanic Gardens, Queen Margaret Drive, G12. You will find it next to the Play Area.
What is it? -Hillhead Children\’s Garden is for kids to find out that growing fruit, vegetables and salad is fun and the stuff tastes good.
How does it work?-Children plant seeds, water, grow on and harvest the plants. We also do sports and arts activities. Kids are supervised by adults but this space is kid\’s space. Children must be accompanied by adults.
Who is it for? -For children and their families from Hillhead area or those visiting. It is also available to be booked for school and children’s groups, to do activities.

Clan Macondo was founded by Maritza Rodriguez, a Columbian graduate of Hispanic studies and specialist in Columbian music, dance and language. Maritza\’s desire to promote Columbian culture stems from her appreciation of her warm welcome from Scottish culture and people.
It has been proven that the best time to learn a foreign language is at an early age so Martiza is holding free weekly classes for parents and pre 5\’s to learn Spanish. Called “Wiggle and Giggle”, let your wee ones learn Spanish in a fun new way!

A new creative training programme for 18-24 year-olds, funded by Young Start
Pop-Up! is for 18-24 year-olds who want to make film events happen in their communities. You don\’t need prior experience to take part, just commitment, some time and a love of cinema.
Kid Bee Happy
Fernanda Piza and Kids Bee Happy Glasgow provide an excellent resource for all types of events where children require entertainment. Whether this be at private functions, such as birthday parties and weddings, or school fayres, festivals or charity events, the activities she provides make these events very enjoyable for the youngsters.
Children aged from four upwards have a lot of fun and get the chance to express themselves creatively through sandpainting. They love having their own work of art, which they are proud to display, and while they are enjoying themselves their parents can relax in the knowledge that the kids are happy and engrossed.
