The festival will host director Muta’Ali and writer Stuart Cosgrove at a red-carpet premiere Q&A event on Thursday, 9th March at 6pm at Glasgow Film Theatre (SOLD OUT)

The two-hour feature length documentary will explore the transformation of Cassius Clay into international boxing icon and activist, Muhammad Ali, as he risks everything for his new religion while approaching the biggest fight of his life.

Director Muta’Ali said: 

“I’m delighted that Cassius X will premiere at the Glasgow Film Festival. I can’t wait to be there to celebrate the film and the legacy of Muhammad Ali.”

Writer Stuart Cosgrove said:

Cassius X: Becoming Ali is directed by Muta’Ali, produced by Glasgow based production company Two Rivers Media in association with Paramount Media Networks & MTV Entertainment Studios and has been acquired for UK distribution by Cosmic Cat.
