Call for Palestinian Artists to Perform at Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2025

Palestinian arts call out for edinburgh festival fringe
CALL OUT FOR PALESTINIAN ARTISTS TO PERFORM AT THE EDINBURGH FESTIVAL FRINGE
Opportunity for artists in Palestine and the diaspora to perform in Scotland at the world’s largest arts festival.
Looking for Palestinian musicians, theatre-makers, dancers, story-tellers, children’s performers, poets and comedians to perform at this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe – Fringe Palestine.
Deadline to apply February 28th, 2025

If you are an artist based in Palestine or the diaspora and are interested to apply, please fill out the Festival Palestine form by 28 February 2025. Fringe Palestine will respond before the end of March 2025. Applications can be written in Arabic or English.

Please Note Requirements

Fringe Palestine is looking to showcase Palestinian art across all forms, from comedy to dance, poetry to children’s theatre. But there are some limitations due to available resources, therefore they can only accept proposals for shows that are the following:

  •       Small scale – the venue is not a traditional theatre space, the show needs to have simple tech requirements and a small team is preferable. The stage is small and not wheelchair accessible.
  •       Live performance – the Edinburgh Fringe is primarily a festival of live performance so they cannot accept applications for visual art or film unless there is a live element involved.
  •       Short duration – slots are usually 50 – 60 mins long, they cannot accept proposals for shows that are longer. Shows that are shorter are fine.

·         Completed – you can apply with a finished show or a work-in-progress but there needs to be a product to present. They do not have the resources to host a development process or a residency, or to support with production costs beyond simple tech and a venue.
