A screening of an episode of BBC Four documentary series What Do Artists Do All Day, which focuses on the life of Glaswegian comic-book artist Frank Quitely. Frank is one of a number of recent major British successes in the comic book industry, having worked extensively to reinvent the superhero genre. His work on characters including Superman, Batman and the X-Men have not only found success in pen and ink, but have helped to inspire and shape some of Hollywood’s highest-grossing film franchises.
First broadcast in March, this film follow a day in the life of Frank as he works on a page from his most recent work, Jupiter’s Legacy.
The screening will be followed by a short Q&A with Frank.
