Ann MacKinnon and Morag Smith, Paisley Book Festival 2023

Friday, 17th February, 12:30 – 1:30 pm
Paisley Central Library, 15 Mill St, Paisley PA1 1ND
Book Tickets – Pay What You Can
Revival and renewal are at the heart of Ann MacKinnon and Morag Smith’s work. In this joint poetry pamphlet launch, Ann will consider how she came to write about the lives and histories of the women featured in the Great Tapestry of Scotland in Warp and Weft, while Morag considers one of Paisley’s historic green spaces – the grounds of the Dykebar Hospital – in Background Noise.
Two projects catalysed during lockdown, the launch will mark the evolution of these projects since, and offer the chance to celebrate these two new collections.
