A Private War GFT

15 – 20 February, 2019
Celebrated war correspondent Marie Colvin spent her professional life chasing down the human stories at the centre of some of recent history’s deadliest conflicts. Never one to retreat from the eye of the storm, she was killed by a bomb during the 2012 siege of Homs in Syria. This gripping dramatization of her life features a career-best performance from Rosamund Pike, focusing on Colvin’s unique character to ask what drove her to these extreme places, and whether the cost was worth it. Compelling, deeply moving and meticulously made by documentary director Matthew Heineman, this is an urgent and important drama.
