Thursday, 13 November, 2025, 2.3o p.m. (Doors 1.30 p.m.)
The Stand Comedy Club, 420 Great Western Road, G4 9HZ
Join writer and BBC broadcaster Nicola Meighan for a late lunch live recording of her Scottish arts and culture podcast, A Kick Up The Arts, with some of our best loved actors, musicians, artists, comedians and writers keeping her company.

On November 13th, writer, actor and Still Game legend Sanjeev Kohli is in conversation with Nicola, for a chat about some of his favourite Scottish albums, films and books – along with his myriad hugely-loved roles including Dept Q, River City, Fags, Mags and Bags – and that iconic new Irn Bru advert…
Sanjeev’s also written for Chewin’ the Fat and Goodness Gracious Me, and appeared as vintage electro scholar Synthesizer Patel (in Look Around You), and on various records by Dundee exploratory pop ensemble the Grand Gestures.
Join Sanjeev and Nicola for a drink and a blether, and hand-picked tunes, and an informal, entertaining Glasgow Thursday afternoon.
Nicola’s also in conversation with guest Teenage Fanclub’s Norman Blake, who’ll chat and play some songs live! (Dec 11).
Listen to previous episodes of A Kick Up The Arts with Deacon Blue, Val McDermid, Clare Grogan (Altered Images), Barbara Dickson, Ian Rankin, Dawn Steele, Jonathan Watson, Hannah Lavery, Gavin Mitchell and many more via akickupthearts.org
