Moira McPartlin recently released Before Now: Memoir of a Toerag – written entirely in the Fife tongue.
Set in the 1990s in a small village, it tells the story of a single-parent family struggling to adapt to the effects brought on by Fife’s mass pit closures.
Although only recently published, sales and reviews for ‘Before Now’ are going well – so far all five stars. Moira is thrilled to see her book on sale in her local bookstore in Alva, ‘Guid Reads’ has been continuously restocking, and ‘Before Now’ is also available in The Book Nook Stirling, Made in Stirling and King’s Book Shop in Callander. It’s also available from Amazon and can be found in libraries in and around Stirling – who have b een adding to the Moira McPartlin back catalogue.
