Friends of People’s Palace, Winter Gardens and Glasgow Green at ByGoneCon

East Kilbride Library, The Olympia Shopping Centre, Churchill Ave, East Kilbride, Glasgow G74 1PG (The Library is located at the Ice rink and Cinema end of the shopping arcade.)
Friends of People’s Palace, Winter Gardens and Glasgow Green (FPPWGGG) have been invited back to the library by South Lanarkshire Libraries Heritage and Local History Convention having been at Rutherglen Library for their previous event .

10 a.m.- 4 p.m. East Kilbride Library and free parking for 3 hours.
Free Event
Local history event where lots of local interest groups and experts are invited from all over Scotland to show off their research and expertise. There will be over 16 groups from: the East Kilbride Heritage Group, Lanarkshire Family History Society, Scottish Indexes and Commonwealth War Graves Commission to name a few.
This event is suitable for novices, experts and anybody in between. Come along and have a chat, listen to a talk, get some hints, tips and hopefully a little bit of inspiration!
OUR Glasgow Green – Talk by Peter Mortimer 11 a.m.
Peter Mortimer one of FPPWGGG committee members, who is a local Historian, will be giving a talk and slideshow on OUR Glasgow Green.
Come along to see and hear about of the history.
Find out interesting things you never knew .
Peter’s Talk will be at 11am .
