Audience Award
When a chance meeting at a party brings aspiring songwriter Hannah (Juno Temple ) and music producer Theo (Simon Pegg ) together, a promising partnership seems inevitable. However, when Theo’s mood and behavior starts to change, Hannah learns that he suffers from schizophrenia and has stopped taking his medication. Determined to keep him from throwing away his career, Hannah has to contend with the frustrating inadequacies of America’s health care system whilst juggling her own burgeoning career. Katharine O’Brien’s debut feature is a sensitive yet startling indictment of how mental health is treated in the United States.
