“BOOZE”
Written by Alan Brady
Directed by Alan Brady
“Booze” by Alan Brady to make debut at Webster’s Theatre this October.
A play about physical damage and emotional scarring. But mostly about the effect of addiction on the innocent victims caught in the crossfire.
Following on from sell out performances of “Turn a Different Corner” and “Two Tribes” this brand new, emotionally charged and gut wrenchingly realistic play accounts both the physical and emotional damage inflicted on young lives and how this is carried forward into adulthood.
The piece follows the story of two 30-something brothers as they are forced to take account of their past and face the very grim reality of how it is affecting everything in their present-day lives.
The play pulls no punches and delves into the dark, murky and so often untold damage of addiction, but this time from the other side of the subject.
Harrowing and touching in equal measure we see the anger and confusion manifested in their inability to cope with life as a result of being raised in an alcoholic home.
This production of “Booze” will be performed by David Alexander, Derek Banner, Henry Campbell, Kristi McDonald and Deborah Young.
