“Quel che non ti dirò mai – Words Unsaid” – The story about a film made in partnership between Italy and Scotland; written and directed by Valentina Galdi

Mission : “How to cancel distances”, cinema can do that
“Quel che non ti dirò mai – Words Unsaid” is the title of new short film produced by The Gladiator Company in Salerno, Italy. The movie was born as a project involving seemingly different cultures: a special feature is the collaboration between Italy and Scotland.
The movie is written and directed by Valentina Galdi, a girl with a passion for writing, because “when you have a passion every occasion is a good reason to put on paper what you feel, every feeling becomes a topic. When you are alone and think about something, even the most simple, your mind processes this to create deeper meaning. Maybe it’s a gift!”
The film is not one of those commercial films that anyone can spend watching for a fun evening. It is a movie with a moral, from which you can learn a lesson or which engenders pretty deep inner analysis. It is for young people and others.
The Plot
The plot is about a boy like many others, immersed in his young-man’s life. He makes the mistake of not appreciating little things because they are part of normality. One day he is a victim of a crash and, unfortunately, he loses his life. In that moment he understands how much was actually of importance. He expresses his sensations and his emotions in a virtual letter addressed to his girlfriend, Sara.
The Company
This is the director’s first experience in directing and the company is composed of guys who study and work – not in the cinema but with a desire to jump into this adventure.
The equipment used is not professional: the scenes were filmed in simple places that didn’t need big interventions.
The film represents a cross-cultural project that demonstrates how a thought can overcome distances and apparently different lifestyles. The project has involved people living in Scotland: the photo of the movie poster was taken by a Scottish amateur photographer and the soundtrack was created by an emergent Glasgow band, ‘Wildfire’. The band is led by Colin Skinner, a famous lyricist, who worked for Midnightchill and Anneliese.
“They were motivated by the desire to rise to what seemed an impossible challenge. We do it with trust and respect, even distance.” said Galdi.
“Obviously the film is translated in English, reviewed by native speakers and adapted to British users. The movie will participate in festivals in Italy and Scotland.” (This is the reason it is not being shown on the web.)
