East End Social Tea Dance, 3rd and 4th May, Barrowland, Glasgow

Doors: 13:00 // Tickets: £10
3rd and 4th May, 2014 1 p.m.
Barrowland 244 Gallowgate, Glasgow, G4 0TT
The East End Social brings the Big Band sound back to the iconic Barrowland Ballroom for this spectacular pairing of Tea Dances on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th May. Led by 16 piece Glasgow Swing Band, That Swing Sensation, we’ll have dance instructors, tea, cakes, a few drops of the hard stuff, tombolas, guest vocalists and enough quicksteps, foxtrots and waltzes to satisfy ardent dance fans and novice shoe-shufflers alike.
Bringing Glasgow’s younger and older generations together, The East End Social’s Tea Dance welcomes hipsters and the hip-replaced alike, so get your glad rags on and cut a rug in everyone’s favourite ballroom: the Glasgow Barrowland.
Please note: due to the provision of seating plans/tables etc., the venue capacity will be significantly reduced. We have a limited number of full price tickets available due to the demand for concessions, so get in there quick!
Regrettably there is no wheelchair access or step-free routes up to the ballroom, but assistance and helping hands will be in abundance.
