DEATHCATS / FRUIT TONES / OP / ROSY CRUCIFIXION
Glasgow’s fuzzy noise makers and lovers of felines, Deathcats have teamed up with Manchester’s lofi garage outfit, Fruit Tones to bring out a split cassette on FuzzKill Records. To celebrate this momentous occasion they will be playing a number of shows in Scotland and England. This one is set to be rowdy considering it’ll be on the home turf of Deathcats and FuzzKill. They will be joined on the night by The Rosy Crucifixion (green door slimey swamp, most seductive) and op (North American War, John Knox Sex club big playas reach for the heavy spoon, strangle yr sister with an erstwhile shaved chin-chillaaah).’ 8pm £5

Friday 28 ***ONES TO WATCH***
FATHER MURPHY (italy) / NO ISLAND / KABOBO
Father Murphy is the sound of the Catholic sense of Guilt. A downward spiral aiming at the bottom of the hollow, and then digging even deeper. Father Murphy over the years became one of the most mysterious and enigmatic musical entities coming out of Italy, part of that community that Simon Reynolds and Julian Cope started to call the new “Italian Occult Psychedelia”. FM are a darkly spiritual experience, tapping in to the same monolithic gothic roots as SWANS, Evangelista, XIU XIU and Godspeed You! Black Emperor, the Italo 3 piece make music that spans time and for a change, Earth. Almost in tears at their last glasgow show, decided to fist pump slowly and with a higher level of intensitude instead. FUCK, don’t miss it. / No Island – First gig in a while from everyone’s favourite glasgow hardcore kings. They can’t be compared to another hardcore band because no one does it quite like this. Dirty, raw and hurt; remorse is for dickheads. / Kabobo is an italo-weej 2 piece synth, drums and analog noise speedprog/drone machine. Imagine a Lightnin Bolt that didn’t rely on cartoonish effects and instead smothered you in tar. SO THIS NIGHT’LL BE INTENSE hahahaha yesh. Double Kiss. Vote Yes. 8.30pm £5 advance £6 on the door.
