A special preview screening of one of the most eagerly anticipated films of the year.
The first Yiddish-language feature film in many years, Menashe is a rare and sensitive portrayal of the Orthodox community in Brooklyn.
When his wife dies, sales assistant Menashe (wonderful first-timer Menashe Lustig) tries to follow the rabbi’s decree which obliges him to remarry in order to get custody of his young son Rieven. A series of unsuccessful dates leaves him torn between his commitment to faith and community, and his love for his child.
