Documentary style account of a nuclear holocaust and its effect on the working class city of Sheffield, England; and the eventual long run effects of nuclear war on civilization. Widely acclaimed as a terrifying masterpiece of British television.
Screening as part of GFT’s Bleak Week: Cinema of Despair season, presented in partnership with the American Cinematheque and Prince Charles Cinema. The screening will include an introduction to the Bleak Week season from Programme Manager, Nicola Scott.
