The Phoenician Scheme at GFT
2- 18 June, 2025
From Wes Anderson (The French Dispatch, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Royal Tenenbaums) comes this dark tale of espionage following a strained father-daughter relationship within a family business.
Benicio del Toro stars as Zsa-zsa Korda, one of the richest men in Europe, who appoints his only daughter Liesl (Mia Threapleton) — a nun — as the sole heir to his estate. As Korda embarks on a new enterprise, they soon become the target of scheming tycoons, foreign terrorists, and determined assassins.
With an all-star ensemble cast including Michael Cera, Riz Ahmed, Tom Hanks, Bryan Cranston, Mathieu Amalric, Richard Ayoade, Jeffrey Wright, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Rupert Friend and Hope Davis, The Phoenician Scheme is an absolute treat for fans of Anderson’s aesthetic and comedic style.
