The Overnight15
GFT
Friday 3–Thursday 9 July, 2015
Attempting to acclimatise to their new Los Angeles home, Alex and Emily (Adam Scott and Taylor Schilling) take their son on a family ‘playdate’ with a similarly young family they meet at the park. After the children are put to bed, the mysterious Kurt and Charlotte (Jason Schwartzman and Judith Godrèche) allow the uptight Alex and Emily to cut loose and soon both couples are sharing more than they ever thought they would. A weird look at contemporary thirty-something coupledom that conceals an emotional tenderness behind the breezy and outrageous humour.
