’ We’re presenting a rare public screening of Jim Ferguson and Vincent Hunter’s short film-essay on Scottish culture and history. ‘Some Distant Day,’ first broadcast on STV in 2004, is a poetic film essay: an exploration of Scottish history and identity, ranging from The Reformation, through to the Industrial Revolution, and on to the re-establishment of the Scottish Parliament. A visual treat, we’re taking you on a dream-like journey through Central Scotland. All you need is your imagination. We’ll make your spirits climb! Let us entertain you, you’ll have a real good time. We’ll transport you to the far-flung places in the recesses of your mind. We’ll be turning pages and reading new work from writers, Jim Ferguson, and Ruby McCann, with original music from Glasgow Literary Lounge, Musicians-in-Residence, Brian McFall and Jamie Wilson, and a presentation on multi-media practice with artist, Louise Malone.’
