CALLING ALL CREATIVES– Open Mic Calton Bar
Theme for the night is the ‘Feast of Samhain’
‘We still have a couple of slots left for our Open Mic – Speakeasy Style after McNelis’s presentation! Our theme for the night is the ‘Feast of Samhain’ literally translated means Summer’s End. The Druids believed that on this night, all of those who died in the past year would rise up and search for the passageway to the netherworld. On this night the passageway or ‘veil’ between both worlds was at its thinnest. Lord Samhain would roam the earth in search of those souls to capture them and take them to his world of darkness.’
‘This is open to interpretation. Come on down and do the mash, we’ll do the monster mash, The monster mash, it was a graveyard smash, They did the mash, it caught on in a flash, They did the mash, they did the monster mash, The zombies were having fun, the party had just begun, The guests included Wolfman, Dracula, and his son, The scene was rockin’, all were digging the sounds, Igor on chains, backed by his baying hounds, The coffin-bangers were about to arrive’
‘With their vocal group, ‘The Crypt-Kicker Five’ Come on down to the Glasgow Literary Lounge the best literary gig in dear old Glasgow town.’
Fancy dress encouraged. This is a FREE event for ALL
