Scowth is a Scots word which means freedom of expression. Scowth sessions run over a couple of hours, feature two or three named poets and a number of (generally pre-arranged) open mic artists.
Scowth aims to encourage poets (and some prose readers and musicians too), particularly novices but all levels of experience and provide them with a safe space to start out with no pressure.
Get in touch with SCOWTH on Facebook to arrange open mic slot.
The venue is accessible and is on several public transport routes. Food is available to buy from the extensive menu and you are able to BYOB for a small fee to the establishment.
Finally, two super important points from SCOWTH
