My Scientology Movie, GFT, 14 October, 2016

Louis Theroux’s first theatrical documentary sees him delve into the secretive world of Scientology.
Friday 14 October (19.15)
Running time: 1h39m + Q&A
With a lifetime of experience dealing with eccentric and unexpected human behaviour, the unassuming Theroux won’t take no for an answer when his request to enter the Church of Scientology is turned down. Inspired by the Church’s alleged techniques and aided by whistleblowers, Theroux uses actors to recreate incidents people claim to have experienced as members in order to better understand the way it operates. Suffused with humour and unique moments, My Scientology Movie is as outlandish as it is revealing. This screening will be followed by recorded Q&A with Louis Theroux.
Director John Dower Cast Louis Theroux, Rob Alter, Paz De La Huerta, UK/USA 2015, 1h39m, CTBC
