SCCAN Communicating Climate Change: Working with Arts & Culture 3-5.30pm 12th May
12 May, 2022 Online at 3 p.m. – 5.30 p.m.
This session is run by Creative Carbon Scotland, a charity working on the roles of arts and culture in addressing climate change since 2011. It will provide a comprehensive introduction to this area followed by workshop time to help you develop your own ideas.

The event will start with a screening of the short film ‘Climate Action Needs Culture’. This will be followed by talks from Lewis Coenen-Rowe of Creative Carbon Scotland and artist and frequent collaborator with environmental organisations Hannah Imlach, with time for questions and discussion.
The second half of the event will consist of activities discussing examples of artistic and cultural approaches to communicating about climate change and workshopping how you could apply these approaches to your own work.
It will conclude with time to share your thoughts and will offer practical advice on the next steps to take.
