Rushmore, GFT
10 April, 2018
Wes Anderson’s breakthrough sophomore feature stars Jason Schwartzman as Max Fischer, an eccentric 15-year-old student at Rushmore Academy, who, despite seeing himself as the king of the campus by engaging in a plethora of extracurricular activity, is also one of the least scholarly students at the school. Max’s life changes when he finds himself both on academic probation and in love with elementary teacher Miss Cross, at odds with wealthy industrialist Herman Blume. When released in 1998, the winning performances, witty script and fantastic soundtrack marked Anderson as one of the most distinct voices of his generation. All tickets £6.
