Marina (Daniela Vega) is planning her future with lover Orlando (Francisco Reyes) when he tragically falls ill and dies. Her world shatters, but the fact that she is transgender adds terribly to her ordeal. Featuring a trans actress in a lead role, this film won the Oscar for Best Foreign Language film and marks a breakthrough in transgender cinema.
