psycho vertical

30th and 31st March, 2018

Based on his best-selling autobiography of the same name, Psycho Vertical is a raw and emotional study of the complex life and motivations of British writer, funny-man and unlikely hero-mountaineer, Andy Kirkpatrick. The film focuses on his 18-day solo ascent of El Capitan, Yosemite. This unique, raw and intimate portrait of one of climbing’s most unpredictable and celebrated figures explores how our past shapes us, drives us forward, and stays with us all our lives.

Preceded by the British Mountaineering Council’s award-winning short film The Bothy Project (dir. Jen Radall, 2015, 11m).
