Kelly Reichardt’s elegant, eco-terrorist thriller follows the fate of three activists who embark on a dangerous plot to blow-up a hydroelectric dam. Josh (Jesse Eisenberg), Dena (Dakota Fanning) and Harmon (Peter Sarsgaard) have come together for this one act of defiance but find it impossible to go their separate ways as they face the stark consequences of their actions. A beautifully photographed move into a Hitchcock-style suspense story from the director of Meek’s Cutoff and Old Joy. GFF14
