Manifesto: Live from the Tate Modern
Wednesday 15 November, 2017 (18.15)
Starring Academy Award winner Cate Blanchett, Manifesto pays homage to the moving tradition and literary beauty of artistic manifestos, ultimately questioning the role of the artist in society today. A homage to the 20th century’s most impassioned statements and innovators, from Futurists and Dadaists to Pop Art, Fluxus, Lars von Trier and Jim Jarmusch. A high concept film that pokes fun at intellectual grandiosity while indulging in it. This preview will feature an introduction by Cate Blanchett broadcast live from Tate Modern, and will be followed by a satellite Q&A with director Julian Rosenfeldt and editor Bobby Good.
