Masaaki Yuasa’s Annecy Cristal award-winning family film arrives in Scotland. Music-loving Kai has moved from Tokyo to a lonely fishing village with his father and his grandfather. One day, some classmates invite him to join their band. Fearing his disapproving family, Kai secretly goes with them to Merfolk Island, their practice spot. When the band play, their music attracts Lu, a magical mermaid girl, and a fantastic adventure begins. Scottish Premiere
