Juno-nominated songwriter Maria Dunn (vocal, guitar, accordion) draws deeply on the folk tradition of storytelling through song. A true preserver of the spirit of folk music, she is often compared to Woody Guthrie for her keen social awareness and her unvarnished songs about the lives of working men and women. Melding North American roots music with her Scottish-Irish heritage, Maria celebrates the resilience and grace of “ordinary” people, past and present.

Matt McGinn is a magical live performer and a lynch-pin of the Irish music scene. His current album, Latter Day Sinner proves right those who rate him as a leading Irish singer songwriter – and it has been gathering rave reviews. Matt has also enjoyed much success touring worldwide, performing with everyone from Nanci Griffith to Kim Richey Radio 2’s Bob Harris, no less, has seen Matt live and said: “He is fantastic.” His songs are heartfelt and he plays beautifully with a heart-warming touch, we’re in for a treat with this show. The Quiggs

The Quiggs” are the new husband and wife duo that has emerged on to the Scottish folk scene. Stephen Quigg is a long established folksinger and former member of the legendary band “The McCalmans” and Pernille Quigg, originally from Denmark, is a folksinger and songwriter. Together they comprise “The Quiggs”. Stephen and Pernille share a common feeling for the tradition of folksong and both know a good song when they hear it. A concert with The Quiggs is a chance to hear folksong in its simple, yet highly expressive form, including beautiful harmonies and songs that seek the audience’s participation.

With their current four-piece line-up, centred on the outstanding voices of Fiona Hunter, Steve Byrne, and Mark Dunlop also featuring award-winning composer Mike Vass, with instrumentation including bouzouki, guitar, fiddle, whistle, bodhrán and cello, Malinky continue on their distinctive mission as contemporary champions of traditional Scots song.

HAGGERDASH are one of Scotland’s popular Folk Groups much in demand for Folk Clubs, Festivals, Corporate Events and Tourist Functions. The Band have been performing for many years and still have the same enthusiasm to entertain audiences both home and abroad. A night with HAGGERDASH is a night of fun and good music
