Artificial intelligence and Hollywood props take centre stage in these newly commissioned films by Jerwood/FVU Awards winners Patrick Hough and Lawrence Lek. Examining 2017’s curatorial theme Neither One Thing or Another, the films reveal a steadily blurring line between the real and the artificial, and make us look again at the uncertain nature of what we think we see.
The Jerwood/FVU Awards are a collaboration between Jerwood Charitable Foundation and FVU. Entries for the 2018 awards, Unintended Consequences, are open 14 Feb – 4 April.
