The final film by the late, legendary documentary filmmaker Albert Maysles is an enchanting and glorious look at the flamboyant 93-year-old fashion icon Iris Apfel. Maysles focuses not only on Iris’s decades long presence on the New York fashion scene, but also looks at creativity and how a larger-than-life spirit can help someone stay relevant in a forever evolving industry. With the witty, funny and honest Iris at the film’s core, Maysles’s last work is an inspirational and thoughtful document that adds a lovely postscript to his incredible career.
