Iboga Nights
GFT
Sunday 12 October, 2014
In 2003, drug addict David Graham Scott filmed his final withdrawal, eased through by capsules of Ibogaine, an extract from a Central African shrub called iboga. David has been clean since. But what turns out to be a magical potion for some is less successful for others. Intrigued by the pros and cons of the drug, he returns to the world of addiction not only to observe desperate people taking the risky treatment he did, but also to administer the treatment.
Followed by a post-screening discussion with director David Graham Scott, chaired by festival programmer Richard Warden.
Screening as part Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival
