Ahead of the official launch of her memoir ‘Frankly’, local MSP and former First Minister Nicola Sturgeon talks to Govanhill Book Festival Director Jim Monaghan about writing her first book, her love of books and her life as a politician.

Peter Mohan, author of ‘Cheers Govanhill’, chats to Scotland’s favourite short story writer Chris McQueer about his debut novel ‘Hermit’, which explores the troubling world of incels and toxic masculinity.

Alycia Pirmohamed is a Canadian-born poet living in Scotland. The 2020 Edwin Morgan Prize winner has published four poetry pamphlets. Her forthcoming nonfiction debut ‘A Beautiful and Vital Place’ won the Nan Shepherd Prize for nonfiction in 2023.
