Glasgow Youth Film Festival, School of Rock, Blythswood Hall.
16 September, 2018
Pledge allegiance to the band of Mr. Schneebly at our pop-up screening of Richard Linklater’s classic School of Rock. Dewey Finn (Jack Black) poses as his roommate and secures a gig as a substitute teacher. When he finds out the class are musically talented, Dewey hatches a plan to win $25,000. All tickets £5.50.
How does your school band compare to Mr Schneebly’s musical prodigies? Stick it to the man and come along before the film for a Battle of the Bands competition!
GYFF is looking for Glasgow school bands to take part in a Battle of the Bands competition at our School of Rock event on Sunday 16 September.
Does your school band have what it takes? Send a video clip of your band in action to gyff@glasgowfilm.org by Monday 27 August to be in with a chance of taking part!
