Gazer at GFT
25 – 31 July, 2025
GFT 12 Rose Street, G3 6RB
Frankie is a young single mother with dyschronometria, a rare condition that means she struggles to perceive time. Using cassette tapes for guidance, she takes a risky job from a mysterious woman to support her family, unaware of the dark consequences that await. Gazer is a tense mystery thriller, shot gorgeously on 16mm and recalling the paranoid themes, stylish visuals, affecting score and leftfield horror notes of likes of Pakula, Hitchcock, De Palma, Cronenberg, Lynch, Schrader and Polanski.
This film contains a sequence of flashing lights which might affect customers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
