A presentation of films in progress made by women activists in Matanzas and Havana in Cuba, Villanova in Catalunya, Spain and in Glasgow, using low-budget collaborative filmmaking techniques across borders to amplify women’s voices.
The final films will be screened at our special 10th anniversary event in 2025.
Work will explore themes including slavery linking Cuba and Catalunya, the innovative approach to Period Dignity in Glasgow and how that compares to Cuba and Spain, how cities are being planned by and for women and issues surrounding emigration from Cuba to the USA.
There will be the opportunity to speak to the groups about the projects and how you can get involved.
