D.E.B.S plus Special Event
Saturday 9 November, 2024 5.45 p.m.
This screening will be introduced by Reclaim the Frame’s Sandra Kinahan. Following the screening, actor and stunt performer Tamaira Hesson will speak about her experiences in the film industry and perform an in-person stunt demonstration.
Recruited through a covert test in the SATs, Max (Meagan Good), Dominique (Devon Aoki), Amy (Sara Foster), and Janet (Jill Ritchie) are a part of the prestigious top secret academy for exceptional spies in the making. While attempting to defeat super villain Lucy Diamond (Jordana Brewster), the women’s relationships are not only challenged, but redefined. A campy cult classic, D.E.B.S. puts a sapphic twist on the likes of Charlie’s Angels and crime-fighting friends we’ve come to know and love today.
Screening as part of Call to Action, a mini season presented by Reclaim the Frame within Art of Action – a major UK-wide celebration of big screen action done for real, focusing on the actors and stunt performers risking life and limb to create some of the most memorable on-screen action, supported by National Lottery and BFI Film Audience Network.
