Twists and turns abound in this thrilling account of how one split-second decision can change your life. Michael C Hall (Dexter, Six Feet Under ) plays Richard Dane, who, after putting a bullet in the brain of a low-life burglar one night, is hailed as a small-town hero. However, when the burglar’s dangerous ex-con father Ben (Sam Shepard) arrives to town, Richard finds himself fearing for his family’s safety. Director Jim Mickle (We Are What We Are) infuses the film with a balmy, dazed Texan take on a classic pulp-noir tale, starting with a punch and hurtling towards a blood-soaked finish.
